The Bay Area UASI established a Community Preparedness Focus Group in 2023 to amplify
community voices, advocate priority preparedness initiatives, and collaboratively customize UASI and RCPGP investments
to build community resilience. The Community Preparedness and Resilience focus group lies within the Bay Area UASI
Emergency Management Work Group (EMWG) which coordinates and builds regional capabilities to enhance community
preparedness and resilience; and to enhance all-hazards incident planning, response, and recovery capabilities.
