Regional Grants Manager
Molly Giesen-Fields manages grant applications and awards from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and other federal/state grant programs to ensure that Bay Area city and county grant recipients comply with all program requirements and provisions of Bay Area UASI grants received. Before coming to UASI, Molly oversaw the grant portfolio for the Oakland Police Department for more than five years. Prior to working for the City of Oakland, she spent her entire career in the nonprofit sector, focusing primarily on poverty alleviation and managing grants and operations for a higher education think tank in Oakland. She obtained her Bachelor's degree from UC Santa Cruz and a Master's degree in Public Policy and Nonprofit Management from The New School in New York City. Outside of work, Molly spends as much time as possible with her family, cheers on the Warriors, and volunteers with local and national nonprofits to help end gun violence.
